At our one day unit studies, we learn about and dive deeper into one specific topic. Every month is an exciting new subject! We integrate all areas of learning from language arts and math, to science and art. Throughout the day, students participate in multiple hands-on activities that add enrichment and depth to that month’s topic.

This is a beginners foraging class. We will have regular woods walks weather permitting and learn about our local wild edibles and medicinal plants. The students will be guided through the process of identifying/collecting edible and medicinal plants and differentiating them from toxic lookalikes and how to do so safely, ethically, and sustainably.

This class focuses on hands-on activities that explore the biology of the farm. We will learn what makes a farm function from the microorganisms in the compost pile to the large cows strolling around the pasture.
